2001 Ford Excursion limited with 4wd. I haven't had to use 4wd drive on this truck in at least a year. I got out turned the hubs to lock, then switched to 4wd on the dash. 4 wd engaged and I was off and driving. But when I turn corners, normal right or left hand turn I'm experiencing binding at the front wheels. I don't remember them binding previously. Could this be a hub or ujoint issue? any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Make sure you are on loose ground when using the 4x4, elementary I know, but just making sure. It is probably the main hub assembly bearings though.

Question. I too have an 01 limited 4X4, and my auto and manual indicators have worn completely off. In reference to the dot on the hubs; which way do you turn to put the hubs in "auto" on your Excursion?
