So a guy is selling me his 2000 limited V10 Excursion, it has 186,000 miles on it and he i's giving it to me for 5,800, he originally was asking for over 6... I'm going to take it to a Mechanic first and have it inspected but I'm still nervous because I feel like that's too many miles! How much longer will it even last?

Just as a reference, I have a 2001 X with the V10 and it has 147000 miles on it and I tow a 7500 lb camper with no issues. The V10 is a very good engine if regular maintenance was followed. Check under the vehicle for frame condition. These frames are known for rusting pretty bad. Hope that helps.

I am buying an 05 V10 LTD with 163K on it for $6200 it still has a NADA of 10K+

This is going to be a replacement for my 2000 4.6 Expy and I hope it was a good decision. I am thinking about a cold air intake because I would like to squeeze out as much MPG as I can. Those 44 gallon tanks are way to big. I am trying to get my wife to promise to not let it get below 1/2 tank.

I would also like to put a cat back on it.
