My SD grille arrived via FedEx today. While removing the old grille, out falls an AC plug. Does that mean I actually have a block heater? Does the wiring harness always include the AC plug or just when there is a heater? The X was first registered in Quebec, Canada, so maybe it does. I tried to follow the wires, but I was still in my good clothes (cause I was too anxious to see the X with the new grille) and didn't want to crawl around on the wet ground.
It's been a good week... the V10 badges and new cupholder arrived yesterday, the grille today, and Dean shipped my ART rotors and pads earlier this week. Too bad it's gonna rain all weekend....

Congrats on the new grill. Where'd you buy it from?
You have a PSD?
The wiring does not always include an AC plug but if you got a PSD then you get a block heater standard.

Monsta.... that island air must be doin' bad things to your eyes....
Nope, no PSD (too noisy). I've got the V10. So, can I assume the existence of the AC plug means that there is a heater connected at the other end? It would be nice. It started hard with a couple of those 10 below nights.

Where did you find the plug? I'm supposed to have an engine block heater, but I've not gone searching for it... after all, it is going on summer in Texas, not like I need it, but just wondered where it was :o)

John Boy, looked for mine for weeks. Couldn't find it. Took it to a dealer and it took their diesel guy about 10 seconds to pull it out from right behind the bumper! I was looking too far back.
Looking at the X from in front, mine was just to the left of the towing ring immediately behind the bumper. The mechanic didn't even look, he just stuck his hand in there, said "Yep," and pulled out the plug.
Good luck!

I found mine just behind the grille on the drivers side. Looks like the wire is attached to the top of the frame rail just before it passes under the radiator mount. Mine must have been leaning against the mesh on the left side of the grille. When I popped the old grille out, it fell out on the bumper.
The new grille looks great!
