Is this a good install for everyday driving or for someone that tows alot? Also is there not one on there already? I've noticed that plate on the passenger side that the Helwig apparently attaches to in the photos, on my X I dont recall seeing one but I could be wrong! Will need to check it out! Thanks for the info and this is a GREAT site!!

I consider the rear sway bar a MUST HAVE safety item !!!
My '02 7.3 Ex was actually dangerous on some of the older washboard roads in the far reaches of the DFW metroplex... it would tilt from side to side on any undulations on the right side of the road (of which there are MANY !!!!)

After putting on the sway bar and driving the same roads, the beast actually has some manners and I have to try REALLY hard to get my Mother-in-laws head to hit the passenger window like it used to :o) (She DID hit her head twice before !)

But the real(and intended) benefit is that you can handle corners MUCH better now without the inside rear corner of the beast feeling like it will tip over...

An excellent $130 part and $45 installation !!!

Ford SHOULD have put them on there for us! But actually, the Hellwig is a better bar than anything Ford would have put on there stock... (re many post of some Ex owners that compared the two - the hellwig is thicker and therefore will hanld more twisting forces...

FYI - my '03 4x4 6.0L X has a factory stock rear sway bar - but I am considering swapping it out for the Hellwig since it is a better bar...

Good luck,
John
