My factory AM/FM/CD stereo is intermittently not working. It will display the time and eject a CD during it's time of failure, but that's it (which means it's getting power). It may stay off the entire drive, but sometimes it will just come on out of the blue. This happened a lot last fall (Sep/Oct timeframe) and it just started again here last week. It almost acts like there isn't a key in the ignition. Don't know if the Southeastern heat is getting to it or what, but short of buying a whole new stereo, is there anything that can be done for it?

Chris, mine did the same thing a few months ago. Two days in a row it would come on for a moment (maybe 20 seconds) then all I would hear is static, no matter what channel it was on. As suddenly as it happened it went away and has been working well since. *** Rick knocks on computer desk particle board "wood" ***

I wish I had an answer other than gremlins. I can't explain it.

By the way, welcome to the site!
