I've had a "squeaky" type noise for 6 months on my 2002 X. I've read other posts occasionally of others having the same irritation. I finally solved mine, there is a "Hard Rubber" "L" shaped piece on the vehicle side door jam. Vaselined it and problem gone. May help if you still have the situation.

Where exactly is this piece located. I have the same issue and would like to try you trick?
