Yesterday my Excursion began making a rattling sound from the motor. Dealer thinks it sounds like a rod. Anyone else had major engine problems with low - mid milage 5.4 engines.

Wow....hadn't heard about the GM V-8s. Still love my Excursion 100% more than the 2 Expeditions I had. I didn't have problems with either one of those 5.4s.

When it was repaired, I also found out that if you are a family member of a A/Z plan buyer, you get a small discount on parts.
