This is what I wrote at thedieselstop.

[quoteFirst check the front sway bar where it bolts to the frame. Look inside left front wheel well and see if the frame wax is worn off around the nut, if so the bolt is loose. Tighten all the sway bar hardware at links and on the axle. Since you mention it happens when you turn it may be a loose sway bar mount.

PhillyX, you can tighten the cab mount bolt, but don't over do it. If that does not help then replace as follows.

If you feel more of a clunk under you feet than this fix may help.
You can replace the cab mount bolt and lower insulator without replacing the cab mount and resolve the problem. The parts are about $40. It takes about 10 minutes. Pull the kick panel and pull back the carpet under the drivers feet. Remove the rubber plug and you will see the bolt. Remove the bolt and pull the insulator from under the vehicle. Replace the parts and don't over torque, I think the bolt requires 80 Nm. If you overtighten the threads in the insulator will strip. This is more than likely what you feel under you feet over bumps.

HI there. Is this the same process used to replace the bushings? I have an '01 that has squeaky cab mount bushings. They'll quiet down for a few days with some silicon lube. I'll try taking a look under the carpet. Is it a nut under the carpet, or the bolt head? Thanks.

Once you pull carpet back, pull black rubber plug. You will see the bolt head. They seem to creak in warm weather more.

K Bigs,

This is awesome information!!

Mine has been doing this since I bought it (used) and haven't gotten around to spending $200+ on the Ford Shop Manual.

Thanks!
