Hello
I have a 91 Full Size with a 5.8 and on the fly push button 4x4 .I havent used the 4 low in about 2 months and it worked fine then.I went out today and it wont engage,Straight 4 wheel goes right in,I hear the switch behind the glove box and everything,But no Noise out of anything when i hit 4 low,I try it in Nuetral and Park,Any Suggestions?I didnt check the fuses yet,and I did go under and wiggle the wires,Nothing unusual and I have not been Mudding at all.Any info would help!!!! |

Do you have autoomatic locking hubs on the front? If so, one of them probably needs replacing. This is a common occurance with automatic hubs and is the main reason why a lot of people which to manually locking hubs. If you hear the clicking sounds and it's not engaging, then it is a good indication that the transfer case is working, but your hubs are not locking correctly.

Do you have autoomatic locking hubs on the front? If so, one of them probably needs replacing. This is a common occurance with automatic hubs and is the main reason why a lot of people which to manually locking hubs. If you hear the clicking sounds and it's not engaging, then it is a good indication that the transfer case is working, but your hubs are not locking correctly. |
Hello Thanks for replying but yes i do have manual hubs and it does go into regular 4wheel no problem,Its almost like the push button switch is dead,I am gonna pick one up today.Thanks for the info! |
