I have a 1975 ranchero 500 with a 3 speed auto. The transmission was overfilled and I had wound it out in first gear and tranny fluid started pouring out near the shift arm. I was in a parking structure and fortunatley saw the fluid immediately and parked. The problem now is that the car when I put in gear it clicks in but will not engage into gear. Is there some sort of oil pump I blew or what? I know oil pressure has something to do with gear engagement but any help will be appreciated. If this is an expensive fix I cannot afford it and i will sell it for a deal. This is a killer car in superb condition with a new motor. Please help me if you can if not pick this car up for cheap with a really minor problem.
