Can't get the shifter out of park, disconnected the cable from the tranny, tranny shifts but still can't get column lever on the steering column out of Park, any quick fix ideas or diagrams of the column to help me figure out the problem

Are you sure that it isn't your lock cylinder? Mine had the same problem... I replaced it and it worked
