I re-used the stock steel transmission pan because I was worried about ground clearance, but there is lots of room; I installed a B&M drain plug; it holds 10 liters of type F fluid.

I used the aluminum AOD seperator plate, instead of the steel C6 tin; it fit perfectly so I won't have to change it when I install an AOD later.

this is the original rear end; its a Ford 9" with drum brakes and a 3.25:1 open differential;

I replaced it with the rearend from my Ranchero 500, which has a 3.00:1 posi diff.

I cut the front coils down & heated the rears; it lowered the front end 3 inches and the rear four; it looks good now, but drags on everything! more work required....
