I am looking to remove the 351ci Modified (400) from my 1979 Ford Ranchero. I have a 302ci from a 1979 Ford LTD ][ . I litterally tore this thing appart for parts for the Ranchero. I needed fenders, in-fenders, a frame rail from drivers side. I kept everything I could. But, anyways. I was wondering what is needed (step by step) in the way of parts and steps needed to be taken to swap out the motors? I want to go with the 302 in the Ranchero.

Welcome to the Ranchero Enthusiasts!
I can't give you the step by step help that you're looking for 'cause my area of "expertise" ends with the early 70's Rancheros.
If you follow this link http://www.ranchero.us and ask the same question in the forum's Tech section I'm sure you'll get all the info you need.
Ranchero.US is the best internet site I've seen for anything Ranchero related.

I ran across your old question, 2007, but i have donethis swap twice in my 72. First with an 88 LTD 302, then 4years later with an 88 Mustang 302 both fuel injected. I have lots of info and have really enjoyed the end results.
