About the 1970–1971 Ford Torino
The Torino (1970-1971) generation rolls through this gallery in every stage of life — from a sharp orange '70 with a black hood scoop holding court at a car show to bare-metal restoration projects with engine bays wide open and undercarriages up on lifts. You'll find coupes parked waterside, vinyl-roofed '71s showing off their black-and-red-stripe interiors, and honest project cars with quarter panel damage, worn trunks, and torn-out carpeting that tell the real story of saving these Fords.
The story
It has been through a number of changes through it's life, but I think it started life out as a red car with red interior, bucket seats, factory air, Am stereo with speakers in the lower kickpanels. From there it was plastered with decals, a black stripe was painted down the center and the number 70 was put all over with the name Dego Cantarini painted over the drivers door. White interior was swapped in and the 351 was messaged to run the ovals of NASCAR. The gentalmen I bought it from was in the middle of restomoding her, stripping the decals off, painting over the numbers while making the motor a little more street/strip ready and swapping in black interior. I am going to finish the black interior repaint her red keeping the black stripes and the number 70 on the roof, trunk and doors per the publics request (I like it too). — Welshdragon79
