Someone had to be post #1.
A 1982 Ford Thunderbird was the first car I ever really drove (not counting the one I learned to drive in and the 1979 AMC Concord I drove about 20 feet, ever)... ever since then I've always wanted one... last year I got another one... they truly are great cars.

Hope to see some more T-bird enthusiasts on here!

Yes T-Birds are great cars. Ever since my father owned a 57 T-Bird when I was young I have liked them. My favorite styles are from 90-94... Nice body style!

Man... My favorite is the Big Bird!! the '76. I got one from ebay a couple of years ago for $500. The wife and kids tell me all the time it's a piece of junk but it's solid and 99.5% complete (all there). I got it running pretty good but I'm gonna put it away for a few more years and then get it out and do a full rebuild. Man! it only has about 65k miles on it but the paint is giving-way to rust so it needs to be stripped bare and chem dipped. It'll be a fun project for retirement...

My Dad loves to tell me about his dad's '68. He worked for Ford at the Brook Park, OH plant and bought the car new. It had the new 429-4v. Dad said when he floored it, it would get up and move , but you could watch the gas gauge move towards empty!

I have an '87 LX with a FI 5.0. It's been fun doing improvments, like making the car handle.
I took a rear swaybar from a 97 cobra and it bolted right on the rear. Then I took a front sway bar off a 88 turbo coupe at the boneyard and bolted it on with urethane bushings. Wow what a difference that made! With the comp T/As it corners like a slot car. Next project will be to get some TurboCoupe Brakes

Hey H E. Was front sway bar from the Turbo Coupe? I have an Lx with an 88 Salleen, T-5, and Turbo Coupe rear. What size tires you running?

Bern,
They are 86 Mustang GT alloys that are 15x7" with BFG comp T/A 225x60x15.
Yes the front bar was from a TC, I thought I mentioned that in my last post. Most every thing I have done to the car has been with factory Ford parts except the Transmission Cooler. The tranny cooler is a Mopar police car oil cooler in series with the radiator, using steel plumbing all the way, "no rubber hose".

Linny, I have a 1968 Tudor with 429 engine and 2.80 rear end and on the road it will get 18-19 mpg. Not too bad for a car that has seen 115 mph(at a car show at our airport they let us run down the 2 1/2 mile runway at any speed we wanted, so dont worry about being unsafe on the roads). Anyway, a smooth ride, full power and good mpg, what more could tou want?

One of my own! Just kidding! I have a '66 Mercury Monterey for when I feel like cruising.
