I have this old truck with the speedometer not working and mileage not increasing, all of the other components work (rpm, oil, temp, gas) and the abs light is turned on.

I have checked the VSS with a multimeter and it gave me 1320ohms.. so i think its good, and none of the fuses or relays are blown... what else is there to check? How do i test out the psom? Do i need to take it out first oris there some other way to do it? Thanks!

The ABS light and the dead speedometer showing up together points to the speed signal itself. On the 1992 to 1996 F-Series, one sensor on the rear axle feeds both the rear antilock module and the programmable speedometer/odometer module (PSOM), so when that signal goes missing you lose both at once.

A good resistance reading only tells you the sensor's coil is not broken. It does not prove the sensor is making a signal. Jack up the rear wheels, put the transmission in neutral, spin a wheel by hand, and measure AC volts across the two sensor terminals. You should see a small AC voltage that rises as you spin faster. If you get nothing, pull the sensor and look at the tip: these are magnetic and collect metal sludge from the gear oil, which kills the signal. Also look at the tone ring on the differential carrier for damaged or missing teeth.

If the sensor makes a good AC signal at its connector, check for that same signal at the RABS module and the PSOM to find where it is lost. The PSOM does not need to come out to be tested this way.

Our 1992 to 1996 Bronco page has the F-Series vehicle speed sensor wiring diagram showing the rear axle sensor, RABS module and PSOM circuits (it applies to the F-Series trucks):
