I have a 2000 Taurus. This car was previously a rental. Apparently they did not install the RCU in the car. I have a block of styrofoam where it should be.

Can I purchase this unit 3rd party or must I go to the Ford dealer? What does the unit run? I am wanting to put the 6 cd changer unit in the car.

First let me tell you that you should go to www.tauruscarclub.com and see our post and discussions there. You will get a lot of info about your car. I have a 2000 Tauri and you should check on ebay for the RCU. They will prob have one.
