Does anyone have a K&N airfilter on their Vic? can you feel a difference? I want to get one but want to know if its actually worth the $50. Thanx in advance |

Many Crown Vic/Grand Marquis owners have had engine problems due to the oil on K&N filters covering the MAF sensor and the throttle body.
One of the more technically savy members on CVN dynoed his car with his OEM Motorcraft filter and then the K&N. The dyno actually showed a loss with the K&N.
Verdict:
Save you cash. Stick with stock filters (change them regulary) and gut your airbox (free mod) instead for a little more response.

The trick to the K&N is to not over oil the filter, I have known of several people having problems but it was because of them putting so much oil on the filter it is dripping off of it. Follow the directions on the box and it should work just fine. There is a little difference, but you can't tell much since the stock airbox is so restrictive, try cutting some holes. |

You should check out ADTR.net they have all sorts of stuff for the crown victoria. The thing you want to do is get a conical air filter not the stock paper stuff or even k&n squares. If I were you i would save up a little more money then get a Fuel Injection Performance Kit (FIPK) Air Intake for $265.00. Just advice before you do anything check out [url]ADTR.net good luck , Devon Corrias
