Found a low-mileage (73K mi.) 1991 Crown Vic S with the 351-2v (engine code "G") motor. Anybody out there have some info on this beast? I didn't realize ford still sold carbed 351 Vics in '91! Is this the accursed variable venturi carb? |

Most of the box body Crown Vic's with the 351, 5.8 liter engines were made for police , these were mainly made for high way inforcement. Most have 2.73 rear gears for higher highway speeds, and came with duel exhaust. They were listed as 180 horsepower with the 351, that is 20 horsepower over the 302 , 5.0 liter , with duel exhaust. The normal single exhaust 302 Crown Vic is listed at 150 horsepower and usually came with 3.08 rear gears,, unless it had a towing package,, then it came with 3.55 gears and usually a trac lock rear end and duel exhaust !!
Any other questions I might be able to answer,, feel free to ask..
