anyone know how hard in would be to put a 5.4 into a 92 crown vic pi? thanks joe

hey Joe -- to date, i have never seen this type of project, but it could be done. some things to investigate would be the 5.4 flexplate mating to your AODE...or if the 4R70W would be better (something tells me it would be) to drop in. then the mounts should be no problem, mebbe some mild fab work. power steering & wiper motor would an big issue. then height is an obvious issue -- you need a cowl or custom hood definitely. some other thoughts -- you have EEC-IV, i am guessing most 5.4Ls you could find would be EEC-V, so the harness & brain would be a challenge. i was thinking an '01+ donor would be better: less of a wiper motor issue, i think the frame would accept the taller motor better.
