How's it going guys, racking my brains out, just discovered coolant running down the rear of the engine block on my mint 98'P71 interceptor and found that it's the heater pipe that comes from the rear of the waterpump and continues under the intake manifold to the rear where it feeds coolant to the heatercore hose, the pipe cracked at the lowest point at the hose and I'm already hearing 500.00 bucks just the labor to R+R the intake for this pipe in a ridiculus location. Is there even a replacement part for this? I removed the alternator to investigate an alternative, could I cut the feed pipe in the area behind the waterpump and put a 45degree hose leading out from behind the alternator and then go the rest of the way with steelbraided pressure hose to the heatercore? I need hope A.S.A.P! it's already getting cold!anybody go through this before? |
