Hey all,
Need some help, I need to get a new engine for my car (1996 P71 w/202K miles) I called the local Ford dealer today and the girl said that she could get me a drop in engine within a day for $3,300. Is this reasonable or are they high? also what would be, since Im changing out my engine, some good but fairly wallet friendly mods to do while I have everything out? Thanks for the help, Paul

Contact "stangparts.com". They are a Mustang only salvage yard and have 5.0 and several kinds of OHC engines at reasonable prices.
Good luck, Ray Yates |

Ray is correct, however; a 5.0L engine will not fit your P71. You also see some nice 4.6L engines on eBay.
In addition, you might want to post a request in the "Parts Wanted" section on www.crownvic.net
I avoid the "stealership" like the plague. Find an independent, ASE mechanic to do the installation for you.
