Ok hi everyone my name is Mike and i am from Omaha, Nebraska
I bought my 1996 Mercury grand marquis wrecked in the front and i fixed it and painted it my self

But its all stock right now but i love going fast!!!
I bought a hypertech for it and pluged it in and it doesnt work so thats outta the question

But i bought a nice big airraid filter and put that on and it makes a little difference not much

But here are my questions:
1. On stock rims 205/40/15 what is the widest tire i could put on them in the rear?

2. Any computer chips availabe for them?

3. Exhaust what kind i want something super quiet but still gives off good hp numbers

4. Springs to lower the stance any good ones out there?

5. Shocks?

6. Ignition? what should i do with that?

7. Throttle body and Throttle body spacer?

Ok those are my questions for right now i need prices and part#'s

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Your Questions:
1. Not sure, however, a 225 should be fine.

5. Bilsteins heavy duty, Edlebrock IAS shocks, or P71 (Ford Police) shocks
The Bilseins are the roughest and firmest. The Edlebrocks are a little softer and the P71 shocks offer the greatest firmest for price.

6. Please clarify this question.

7. You probably do not need a larger throttle body unless you are running with a supercharger or you have ported heads. A throttle body spacer is really useless for our vehicles.

Do some searching in the "4.6L forum" on www.crownvic.net

These questions arise all the time on there.
