hey i got a problem we were all out having fun goin thew a little mud when the truck start smoking and a fire started in the engine compartment we got it put out in about a minute or 2 and i havent had a chance to look at what caused the fire but all i know is im goin to need to either find a engine wiring harness or try to fix the old one but it kind of looks like the fire started where the break fluid is right in front of the master cylinder is this what could have happen? if anybody can find a engine wiring harness diagram it would be greatly appreciated.

Glad you got it out fast. Before buying a harness, find what started it, or it can happen again. Brake fluid does burn, so a leak at the master cylinder or a brake line dripping onto the exhaust manifold is a real possibility. So is a fuel leak, or a battery or starter cable that rubbed through and shorted. Look for wet spots, check the master cylinder level, and trace the burned area back to where the damage is worst.

For the harness, a used engine harness from a junkyard truck with the same engine and transmission is often cheaper than new, or burned sections can be repaired wire by wire using a diagram with the wire colors.

If yours is the 5.0 or 5.8, our 1992-1996 F-150 wiring page has the 1992-95 F series and Bronco engine wiring diagram with the computer pinout:
