First drill a pilot hole then drill it out to 1/2" and de-burr the hole. Why did I decide to drill right there ?

Derale makes this adjustable fan controller, with a "wet" sensor that screws into your cooling system and takes the actual coolant temperature.

It's worth noting that CV in the first pic is using stock Chevy 2 1/4" tailpipes. Probably didn't know about Dynomax units that were 2 1/2" and mandrel bent. Can you see what I'm up to yet ?

Nabbed a Taurus fan off a 3.8 litre Taurus because they flow more than enough air to cool a 5.8, let alone a stock 5.0 litre, like mine. Charge ? $40 Canadian

I just added washers onto the water pump studs, behind the bracket, to space it out far enough for the bracket to fit the large case 3G alternator.

Not only was I copying the Ford Racing pan's bolt location, but where my finger is pointing is the only fairly deep "well" area that the drain bolt won't interfere with anything.

Here's a shot of the front passenger's side fuel and vapour lines clamped down by the clips and 10 mm bolt. I lubed under the clamp with rustproofing grease to TRY to slow down the line corrosion.

To mount it between the A/C condenser and the grill, in the airflow, you need as much access as you can get for the install. This cover needs to come off.

Here's a better shot of the resevoir retaining slot I fabbed up. Maybe you can make out the stick-on foam rubber I stuck on to prevent rubbing.

The metal tangs slip into the little recesses to the left of each socket hole with a satisfying positive "click", locating the terminals right where you want them, once and for all !

The hole centers on these "uber-handy" slip on (and weld) flange ends were not originally 3 3/4".
