Hello all.

I plan to buy a vehicle in about 6 months from now... Crown vic is on the list. I have seen some 2011 with very low miles....

How reliable are they?
Comfort ?
Ease on working on them?

I will know more after January on which way I will go... My other cars are Kia Sodona (Van), Via Borrego or Sorrento f0r possible towing needs..

Thanks for your help.
Joe

All I have to say about reliability is take a peek at a crown vic taxis mileage the are good for 300,000 easily if you take care of them.

The Police version is pretty comfortable especially if you are a tall person I can even sit in the back seat and I am 6'6". The civilian versions are even more comfortable.

Very easy to work on, these were fleet cars for two decades Ford did there home work very easy to work on.

Also you can tow with the vic I would image they load limit is pretty close to the Borrego and Sorento.

I picked up an 2009 ex police cruiser and really like it. the police cars have seat covers you can take off and wash (a lot of people don't know this) it has 4-wheel disk brakes, aluminum drive shaft, rack and pinion steering, dual exhaust with H-pipe, an external transmission and power steering cooler, the other poster is right 300K plus is not unusual for these.
Mine is a black and white with dual spotlights and a Rhino bar but I picked up a set of 5-spoke 18 inch Mustang wheels and a Mercury Marauder spoiler and once I put an all-black paint job it will look pretty good,

Same from a reliability standpoint but generally less beat on in their former life(owned by an old lady to go to church and the supermarket)
