Coolant

I just watched a video from MotorCraft about engine coolant. In the video they say to never use "green" coolant only the gold MotorCraft coolant because the green causes cavitation. Is this true or bull? I just topped off my system with green coolant.

depends on what you have. green glycol based is safe. but sodium based is bad.

I found several good articles on "diesel coolant cavitation" on the internet. If you have a diesel vehicle google Diesel Coolant Cavitation and read. Oilburners have a great article on this topic.

the resonant freq. stuff almost sounds like bullshit to me. i mean ` what has changed over the years?
i have seen plenty of liners,blocks,etc. and corrosion due to sodium or other caustics is the only culprit i see. not frequency.
i may be wrong, but,,,,,
