just purchased this Crown Vic. It has an oil leak on top of the housing where the oil filter attaches too, any ideas what it will take to repair it? new housing? gasket?

You should move home for the safety of you and your family. Places that you make as a tingggal very dangerous.

You'll need to replace the gasket, just make sure to get the right one(oil cooler/no oil cooler) and be ready for some work. Unless you are using this car for police duty(or security, sitting around with the engine running for hours at a time), you don't need the cooler and could switch to a non-cooler filter adapter if you could find one. The cooler lines can be even more of a pain if/when they leak on you.
