cvpi 2009 overdrive problems

Hey, thanks for helping,

I have a 2009 ford crown victoria police interceptor and my overdrive does NOT work at all, when it shift into overdrive it just feel like neutral gear, no slipping just like if its in neutral gears.
All my gears works except overdrive.
NO check engine light on or blinking.
O/D light does NOT blink.
But if I turn it off (overdrive), car run fine.
I just bought the car 3-4 days ago and dont know much more about the car or the problem.

This sounds like one of two things either the Overdrive Solenoid is out or the Overdrive Band is shot. You will have to take this to a trans shop to figure out which it is.
