2001 crown vic

wife's car
01 crown vic fuel pump works sometimes sometimes it does not
check engine light already on ( egr ) - ( diff ) codes
check fuel cap light started coming on with this problem
checked fuse and relay for bad connection
moved wires i think to be to crank and temp sensors
checked wires to fuel pump shut off switch in trunk ( but not with volt meter )
all dash lights come on and gauges work

It seems like you have to check the state of your car battery, or to more easily bring your wife's car to the authorized repair shop
