Hi all,
Lost my one and only key to my 2003 grand Marquis. Don't have a valet key.
I do have the key code which was written on the owners manual.
What's the best and cheapest way to get a new key made?

Should I give a locksmith the glove compartment lock cylinder or the power trunk lock out cylinder that is located on the drivers door panel? I'd hate to pull out the door lock cylinder in the door or the trunk lock cylinder .
Any advice is appreciated.
Thank you

Go to the dealer or a competent locksmith. The glove box(and trunk button on the door) only uses part of the key to work so it would not give them enough information to make a new key.

I agree with the advice given by hondaclf. We recommend that you bring your vehicle to a dealer to be safe from damage

If you have the key code, you are all set. The dealer will cut a new one with the code. In fact most dealers can retrieve the code just by having the vin. They will want proof of ownership.
