How do i figure out the Gear ratio on my 2005 CVPI? |

Look at the label inside the driver's door. It will list the axle code which will probably read Z5, which is 3.55:1. Or lift the rear end of the car and mark the tires and driveshaft. Rotate and count how many times the driveshaft turns relative to the tires. |

Z5 is open 3.27 and the most common gear ratio so you were partially right.
The door sticker will have a 2 part axle code, you can decode it here.

My '05 Shop Manual says 1is 2.73, 4 is 2.73, 5 is 3.55 and C is 3.27. I tried to insert photo of page but no luck. I seem to recall this conversation before. |
