Compatible 4.6L Engine Replacement?

I have a 1996 Grand Marquis (107K miles) and would like to replace original 4.6L engine with one more powerful for the least amount of trouble.

Any suggestions?

Harris, I have an 03 LX with about 238K miles. I want to replace my engine with a more powerful engine but would also be suitable as a everyday driver. Any suggestions?
