I just purchased a 89 F-150 with a 302, 2 wheel drive, auto. The window sticker says the oil was recently changed, but the dipstick shows it over full. I changed the oil and added 6 quarts and the dipstick is overfull again. I'm thinking I have the wrong dipstick. The one I have is E5TE6750-CA which is 31 inches long.

Thanks

The 302 oil capacity was 5 quarts with the FL1a. The 351w was 6. The next oil change add 5 quarts, start the engine and recheck it after it set not running in 5-10 minutes. That will tell you if it is correct. I do not think that the dip stick is not the issue.
