My '03 Crown Vic Sport is missing @ low RPM, and the \\"check engine\\" light just keeps on flashing. I had the code run, and the #1 fault was that the #6 cylinder is mis-firing. I bought a new coil pack, but have not had it installed. There was also a fuel injection fault on #2 cylinder. My Ford guru said to ignore all faults after the first one, as the first fault can trigger other faults. I can tell just by feel that there is only 1 cylinder mis-firing.
At running temp, the engine has a distinctive miss, but if I get on it, say, above 3K RPM, it pulls like it used to. I\\'ve also heard of horror stories of springs involved in the boot, but I see none. The person that told my of the spring thing had a Mustang, with the 4.6. I\\'ve watched videos of coil replacement, and I saw no springs. HELP !
