What can I take off of this engine

I want to thank everyone who contributes to this forum, There is a lot of good information here.

Im in the process of swapping a 2003 crown vic front suspension, engine and transmission into my 71 Ranchero. I just looked at the engine sitting on my stand and am wondering how much of this stuff do really need, I would like to de-cluttered the engine bay as much as possible. is there a thread somewhere showing what can be removed.

Its been a couple of years, did you finish your project. Interested in doing the same thing with my 71 ranchero
