Yo Dana,
SM has been agonizingly slow to open lately.
And unfortunately, the pop-up ads block out too much of a picture or narrative.
Both combined is not worth the wait.

Some forums are suggesting using photobucket to store their vehicle pics.
Be well!

I am working on the performance issue, something happened with a recent update that is a little harder to track down than I would have thought. In the mean time I didn't know there was crazy pop-ups, thats frustrating so I turned off some of our less familiar advertisers to at least deal with that issue.

Thanks,

Dana

Yo Dana,
Thank you!
Delay on my end after clicking the reply icon was 23 seconds just now. Earlier today, a picture ladened SM album folder opened up fairly quickly.
Be well Dana!

Yo Dana,
In past week, SM opens quickly, then a few minutes later, same SM url is very slow and receiving,
"Service Temporarily Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Apache/2.2.29 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.29 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_scgi/1.12 mod_fcgid/2.3.9 Server at supermotors.net Port 80"

Be well!

I am bringing a new developer on to look at optimizing the site, it seems over the years we have grown so much the queries that used to be just fine are slow now. Give us a little more time and we should have things back on track.

By the way I have turned off most of the ads until we can get things dialed in again, the performance of the site and supporting the community long term is more important than the ads.

Guys,

Do things feel faster now? We optimized some queries and overall tuned the site up.

Yo Dana,
It is very fast now, thanks!
I went through some members' sites with large volumes of pictures and narratives quickly.
In FZone, got rid of two spammers today!
Be well Dana,
Al
