I've heard a ticking noise from the engine of my '95 Grand Marquis while testing the engine temperature. I'm not very car savvy, so I've been talking with my dad about what the problem might be. After a bit of testing we've narrowed down a few details:
When the car starts, so does the ticking.
When the car stops, the noise does not stop abruptly, but slowly winds down
The noise seems to only be coming from the passenger side
The noise does not follow the rpms of the engine at all, it ticks independantly
