So I just bought a 2007 CVPI. She needs a little TLC but all in all a very solid car. The front headlight and corner marker assemblies are still the originals. As such they show 10+ yrs of abuse in the Texas sun and sand. I tried doing a restoration job on them but they only came out so so. I think I have decided to just replace the assemblies. I started looking into parts online but most assemblies I am finding specify that they are "not for police interceptor" Am I correct in my assumption that the assemblies were identical to the civilian version? If so, why are they saying it is not for interceptor? Is it something to do with factory wig wags? If that is the only issue then obviously I could care less, but if it is an actual fitment issue then does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks in advance for the help!

Has nothing to do with fitment, some parts say that for unknown reasons, corner lights may say it because they don't have the hole drilled for a corner strobe like a CVPI could have had.

I just bought OEM headlight assemblies from www.fordpartsgiant.com for $160 for the pair. They have a good system for getting the correct parts. They look great and are the exact headlight housing. The low price ones on Amazon are crap. They may last 2 years, while OEM will go much longer. For a sunny place like Texas, there are UV products you can wipe on them to protect them more. If you do this, get a product made for boats. The front side lights may not have a hole for the strobe from being a service car, but nothing makes the front pop like fresh light housings. I also added LED headlamps from Lasfit. They are on Amazon or their site and were very easy to do.
