Found this forum via SD Truck Springs link to an Excursion leaf spring upgrade article.

Finally had it with the Excursion\\'s wandering steering and sloppy towing manners (compared to F250\\'s/F350\\'s) from an otherwise great vehicle. Planning the F250 leaf spring swap on our original owner 6.0 Excursion. So why did Ford dork up the Excursion front/rear suspensions so soccer moms could get their SUV into a poorly designed (low) garage, probably filled with anything but vehicles anyway?

Have and had other Super Duty Fords - including a last-of-the-steel-bodied F350 6.7 CC LB Dually courtesy of a BFG truck tire induced truck/trailer wreck w/our venerable \\'02 7.3 CC LB SRW F350 which we miss greatly. Love the old Broncos and have an old \\'74 AMC 304 V-8 CJ-5 Jeep with a T-18A granny trans.
