I'm amazed at the low number of 83 to 88 Thunderbirds on the registry. What is even more alarming is the lack of Turbo Coupes. Personally I value my TC not only for daily transportation but the quality of the ride. I think that more T-bird owners should take pride in there birds, especially their Turbo Coupes. The TC's are a dying breed. Lets hope that their owners keep them on the roads since they ain't proud enough to show the world their love for a majestic bird.

I agree with you completetly. I have 2, 85's, myself.

The Aero coupes, or "Gen 10" Birds revolutionized body envelope technology when they came out in sept of 82. I feel they had impact equal to cars like 32 Fords, 39 & 40 Coupes, 49-51 Mercs & several editions from Ford over their 1st century. THese cars were cclassis when they were built, but here in America, where everybody is the very best driver, Chevrolets, Hyundais, and whatever else is cheap rises to the top, and people generally don't have a clue, What else could I expect?

By the time people wake up & realize what you, I, and some other folks already know it'll be too late. Most of these great cars will have been reformatted into mopre "Global Junk" for consumption by Americas' driving public. what can be bought today for little bucks will become all out of whack like the "popular" classic & special interest cars today.

I don't feel sorry for what folks are missing out on, they are gonna do what theu want anyhow. So I have & enjoy mine and DILLIGAF to the rest. . . .

Also ever take a Gen 10 to an All "Thunderbird" event or activity? They let 76, Pseudo T-Bird in but my 85 30th Anniversary Edition was not good enough. I could understand an attitude from a purist group of 55-57 Birds turning me aWay. BUT. . . . . a field full of Tudor & Fourdoor sedans, mostly from the 60's & 70's? Guve me a break!!! That collection of iron is not really what I think the T-Bird Marque was/ is/ are/ were about. Just my 'umble opinion on the deal!! FBp
