I recently purchased a 94 F150, 302 engine, The oil pressure sending unit gauge ( i know they suck, havent had time to change it yet) Goes very erratic jumping back and forth than goes to 0 while I'm driving. I believe it is actually an oil pressure issue because the top end of the engine starts ticking.
At which point I pull over and turn off the vehicle, 2 minutes later I started back up.Oil pressure is back to normal and the engine is Still ticking but after a minute or 2, it gets back to normal and i drive off but shortly after same thing all over, I'm i'm thinking it's probably an oil pump, or pickup screen ( i have flushed the engine out several times with fresh oil, any thoughts?
