Gas Mileage?

On your gas milage problems, big tires + Holley = bad gas milage, but a hoot to drive. did you tune /calbrate the carb or just bolt it on? was it new or used, if used did any one put a kit in it ? does the engine have a larger cam profile than stock ? 35" tires look great but it screws up your engine's power band "Richmond Ring and Pinion" web sight has a chart to figure out what gear ratio to use. this may sound wierd but you will get better gas mileage if you go to a lower gear ratio. Your engine was desined to work most eficiently in a certain rpm range and by going up to such a big tire you have it working at to low a rpm were it isn't making enough power to move the truck so you have to give it more gas to compensate.
