whats the top speed you all go in 4 low? do i have to remove all the bolts to drain the diffs? i heard the 9 incher isnt to easy. who uses there bronco to tow? whats the max load for a 351w? or where can i find that info?

I try to stay under 20 mph in 4-LO, only use it when badly stuck or to pull someone/something else out of the mud. If you're rock crawling or climbing/descending a hill, low range works good for that, too.

The 9" has a drain/fill plug, but you still might want to pump out any remaining oil if it's milky (water). On the 8.8", you need to remove all of the bolts but leave one in loose to hold the cover. Put a new gasket in and then tighten and refill.

I think GVWR for the Bronco is about 5500 lbs., but I've seen one with the 300 I-6 tow a 14,000 lb. trailer with ease. My 84 has towed a 6500 lb. band trailer all over Texas since it was new. It does have the 351W H.O. and the towing package, although I changed the springs with the lift kit.

You can find genral info on towing weights and stuff in your owner's manual if you still have it.
