Hello all,
This is the second forum that I have joined. The first was The Ranger Station. I am a Ford man from my teen years. My first car was a 1965 Mustang Coupe. Burgandy with a white interior. Bought it as a rolling chassis. Put in a 1967 289 2V from a wrecked Fairlane. The transmission was a FMX auto out of a Torino. Had to modify the driveshaft, crossmember, and shift linkage to get it to work. It was a great running car until it met a driveway culvert at about 60 mph.
My second car was a 1964 Galaxie 500. This was a filler ride until I found another Mustang. It was a 1966 Mustang Fastback. Again a rolling chassis. Midnight Blue with a black interior with 1969 Mach 1 Bucket seats. Transferred the same 289 into this car but rebuilt the C4 auto. This car was nice, had my first date with my wife in this car. Rolled it and that ended my Mustang ownership.
My fourth car was a 1969 Torino GT. This was a filler car too. From there I changed brands and bought a 1970 AMX that I still own.
Many years passed and my next Ford was a 1992 Ranger SuperCab that I bought new. It was a Black XLT model. 3.0 with a 5 speed. Had a Rhino liner in the bed. I owned it through 125.000 miles and three transmissons. I recently sold it to a friend of my son's who has since had the transmission blow up on him.
My wife bought a 1997 Taurus GL new and it currently has 88,000 on it. Nice car the is Moonlight Blue with a Grey leather interior and a moonroof. This is her daily driver.
My current ride is a 2002 KingRanch SuperCab in Charcoal Blue Metallic. 5.4L with the trailer towing package and a limited slip differential on it. It has a body color Line-X bedliner in it.
Well that about sums me up. Glad to be a regitered user of the SuperFord.org site.
Keep the shiny side up!

Hey John,
I'm kinda, sorta, new around here myself. Welcom to the site. I'm a "Rodder" at heart, been so all my life too. I think there are a lot of "lurkers" who don't join us, for whatever reason.
I've been a dedicated Blue Oval Affecinado ever since I scattered a Orange Replacement Engine, cut a perfectly good coupe about in half & nearly amputated my feet, misse by a few scant inches!
That was when 283 SBCs were new, like 57! Been FoMoCo oriented ever since, and thankful I was alive & complete/ whole enough to go back to Blue Oval.
Your name sounds kinda' familiar to me ? ? ?. . . . . . .
Anyhow, Welcome, be lookin' for in Sfs forums. BTW here's a good Ford Truck Site if you care.http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums It's Ford Truck Enthusiasts Web Site, very big & very active in a lot of diverse forums.....check it out. FBp |
