I just bought an '86 Full Size Bronco. I had to put gas in to get it home, However the nozzle kept shutting off and gas sometimes spit out the filler hole. What would cause this? A clogged vent? Gas is too expensive to waste on the ground, especially filling up a Bronco!

Please help!

Thanks,
Jason

Most Broncos are that way, it may be a pinched vent hose or just the design of the filler neck that causes it. Filling the tank slower or with the pump nozzle halfway in instead of all the way may work. The nozzles with the rubber cup over the end take all day, so I try to avoid those.
