Got a 1979 F250, 4 wheel drive, came with a 300cid inline 6.
What was going to happen one way or another is to install a 302cid motor in it.

Does any one know if back in 1979, if they came with a 302cid motor or was all the F250 with big blocks only (351M/400, 460) ?.

Will installing 302cid motor towers out of a 2 wheel drive work or not.

i am no expert... but most 2-wheel configs have different mounting locations than a 4x4... this is not FACT however, just an opinion.

I used to have a 4x4 chevy that someone had converted from a 2wd. i didnt see any custom weld or anything
