Hey guys, I'm new here. My name is Pete and I am asking for help.

I have a 1995 Ford F150 Super cab.

Anyways. my truck came with a Ford 8.8 Inch Dif with 308 gears. it has an AOD tranny and a 5.8L (351) engine. it also has rear ABS

Last night I decided to swap out the dif (it was howling a lot) for a 1976 Ford 9 Inch housing with 350 gears in it.

The conversion went really well, except for the fact that I have lost my speedometer and my O/D light is flashing. I also don't have ABS anymore but we were expecting that since the 9 Inch doesn't have ABS

Here is the problem I have run into: On my old dif, the ABS sensor and the speed sensor are one in the same. by removing ABS I removed my speed sensor.

This is my question: Can I bypass that sensor and run it straight though to the tranny (which is the AOD)? If so, how can I do this.

Here are some pictures of my truck. it's dorpped 10 Inches

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Pete

... Best get the old rear fixed replace the ring an pinion, ... I beleave you have an EoD4 tranny, the computor tells this when to shift ... it gets its info from at least 2 places, The TPS (throtel postion sensor) the Speed sensor from the rear...
