I HAVE A 92 BRONCO WITH THE BW 1356 ECTRONIC SHIFT ON THE FLY. I CAN GET THE 4x4 TO LIGHT UP AND WORK PUT NOTHING HAPPENS WHEN I PRESS 4 LO, THE BUTTON DOESN'T LIGHT UP EVEN? I CAN HEAR THE LITTLE MOTORT ON THE T-CASE TURN WHEN I PUT IT IN 4 HI BUT NOTHING IN 4 LO. WHATS UP WITH IT?

is the car at a complete stop with the trans in Nutral? if yes, maybe its somthin like your Nuetral safty switch on the trans, you might try pullin the codes to see if it flashes you anything.

My f-150 does that to and i want to know how to fix it also.

dont feel bad my 94 bronco does the same thing. Haven't been able to figure it out either

A couple of things first... Get under the bronco and check out your t-case...are any of the transfer bars rusty? check for broken seals, broken hoses or wires that are just hanging there.
check your fluids.
take some pictures and post them. let us see what you see.


spray WD-40 EVERYWHERE and gently tap all of the transfer bars and shift linkages with a rubber mallet, spray with WD-40 AGAIN!!! repeat lather and rinse!!!

last but not least... have a friend get under the bronco and get right next to the t-case and look/listen to the t-case when you attempt the shift. have him describe what he hears or sees happening.

it will go a long way towards helping us/you out.

my 89 bronc doesnt do that it shifts into 4 lo and then there are about four or five loud ass knocks, but sorry with i couldnt help you out.
