upper intake manifold

I took the air intake duct off the throttle body assembly and opened the throttle and looked inside the upper intake manifold. Their was alot of black stuff and it looked like it was starting to build up a little. Should I worry about this? If so, is there a cleaner I can spray in there or do I need to remove the upper intake manifold and clean it? Thanks. JD

What you are seeing is both carbon deposit and fuel deposits. This is robbing your engine of its' efficiency!!! Use any comercially available CARBON DEPOSIT CLEANER, and spray down the intake when the motor is running. (i.e. use the directions) easy to clean and inexpensive to accomplish!
